Domaine Gérard Julien & Fils is located in the village of Comblanchien, on the southern tip of the Cotes de Nuits. Its high limestone content and east-facing slopes provide the wines with remarkable vitality, as well as delicate aromas and textures.

In the 1960s, the winery was recognized annually at the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin held at the Château du Clos de Vougeot, and has been recognized for 14 consecutive years, gaining favor with many restaurants and private clients in France.

Since 2012, Étienne, new generation of Julien family, has taken over the winery and switched to organic farming methods, which more clearly showcase the unique terroir characteristics of each plot.Compared with his father’s classic long-ripening style, his wines are now more directly and purely expressive of the terroir.

Étienne's style is even more popular among today's Burgundy enthusiasts.It gives a pure, attractive and authentic impression. Without artificiality, it better conveys the authentic flavors of Burgundy's terroir.
