Inglenook is located in Napa Valley, California, and its story dates back to 1879. The winery was founded by Gustave Niebaum, a ship captain, wine connoisseur, and entrepreneur, who arrived in Rutherford and invested heavily to create a winery that could rival the top estates in Europe.

In 1975, the winery was purchased by Francis Ford Coppola, the acclaimed director of the iconic American film The Godfather. Coppola renamed the estate Niebaum-Coppola. Eventually, in 2011, after reclaiming the winery’s original name through a buyback operation, it was renamed Inglenook, continuing its legendary legacy.

Vineyards and Winemaking
Inglenook primarily cultivates Cabernet Sauvignon, along with some Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Shiraz. The estate practices organic farming, and its wines are produced to the highest standards. The winery is particularly renowned for its Bordeaux blends, which are considered outstanding.

Legacy and Recognition
Inglenook wines have earned a reputation as some of the finest in Rutherford. Notably, President Grover Cleveland enjoyed Inglenook wines during his time in the White House.

The estate’s 1941 Cabernet Sauvignon received a perfect 100 points from Wine Spectator and was hailed as the "Wine of the Century". In 2011, two bottles of the 1941 Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate’s private collection were auctioned at Christie’s for an impressive $11,400, underscoring the winery's historic significance and unparalleled quality.
