Jean Grivot

The Jean Grivot family came to Burgundy in the 18th century from northeastern France and settled in the village of Vosne-Romanee. In 1919, they purchased a portion of the grand cru vineyard Clos de Vougeot in a neighboring village to produce high-quality Burgundy red wines. The current owners, Etienne Grivot and his wife, took over the estate in 1990, continuing a five-generation legacy of winemaking. Jean Grivot was also named one of the "Top 10 Iconic Domaines of Burgundy" by the prestigious wine magazine Decanter, solidifying their position as traditional Burgundy wine producers. Renowned Burgundy authority, Allen Meadows, has also praised Jean Grivot's Vosne-Romanee wines, stating that they are consistently excellent every year.
