Jermann

Jermann winery was founded in 1881 by Anton Jermann and is located in a region that is not commonly associated with winemaking, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The winery owns 130 hectares of vineyards, although in reality, they have 150 hectares. Additionally, they have 20 hectares dedicated to cultivating "artistic plants." Anton Jermann embarked on a journey that took him through Austria, Slovenia, and eventually back to Italy, bringing with him the grape varieties and wine culture from these regions. The winery is often referred to as a "tri-color palette" as their wines embody the characteristics of these three different countries.
Silvio Jermann, the key figure in the winery's success, is known for his unique winemaking approach and meticulousness. He uses indigenous grape varieties such as Ribolla Gialla, Pignolo, as well as international varieties like Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. Each wine produced by Jermann is outstanding and has garnered attention and acclaim from various wine competitions and critics. One notable creation is the "Dream - Chardonnay," which is considered one of Silvio Jermann's most prized accomplishments.
