Kevin Mitchell, the founder of Kilikanoon Wines in Clare Valley, South Australia, in 1997, is considered a rising star in the Australian wine industry. Kevin Mitchell has a background in winemaking engineering and started working in wineries in 1993. After gaining experience at several renowned wineries, he purchased Kilikanoon Wines in 1997 and began his own venture. In just a few years, he achieved remarkable success, winning six champion trophies at the 2002 Australian Wine Shows. Renowned wine critic Robert Parker gave the winery very high ratings, and Australian wine expert James Halliday rated it as a 5-star winery, the highest level of recognition.
