Klein Constantia

Klein Constantia is located in the Constantia Valley of South Africa and is considered one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the country. The estate dates back to 1685, while winemaking in South Africa was officially established in 1658. This makes Klein Constantia one of the earliest wine estates in the region. The winery's location is unique, nestled close to the Pacific Ocean with nearby mountains. The climate is cool and humid, complemented by granite soils, which contribute to the production of exceptional wines.

The most famous wine from Klein Constantia is undoubtedly "Vin de Constance." This sweet white wine has been highly sought after throughout history and continues to receive recognition and awards. It is considered by many to rival the renowned "Yquem" and has been appreciated by royalty. Vin de Constance has achieved great acclaim, with prices that have surpassed those of gold. Despite its high price, it remains an irresistible indulgence. In recent years, Klein Constantia has attracted investments from prominent Bordeaux wineries, including Hubert de Bouard de Laforest, owner of Château Angélus, and Bruno Prats, former owner of Château Cos d'Estournel.
