La Mordorée was founded in 1986 by two brothers, Fabrice Delorme and Christophe Delorme. The name "La Mordorée" comes from a bird called the "Woodcock," which is depicted on their wine labels. The brothers had a deep passion for wine and decided to leave their original professions to fully devote themselves to the wine industry. They were highly committed to producing high-quality wines, and their dedication quickly paid off. Wine enthusiasts began to follow their wines, and they soon became recognized as some of the greatest winemakers of the new generation in the Rhône Valley.
