Laherte Freres

Laherte Frères, founded in 1889 by Jean-Baptiste Laherte in Chavot, wrote a touching prologue in the Champagne region. The estate boasts 10 hectares of vineyards, divided into an impressive 75 different plots. Spanning five generations, it was the fourth generation, Aurelien, who embraced the motto of "innovation through revival." They combined traditional plowing and harvest timing methods with the use of a 4,000-kilogram traditional press and modern automated control technology to ensure stability, quality, and efficiency. Laherte Frères broke boundaries by integrating traditional and modern techniques, not only in winemaking but also in exploring the full potential of grape varieties and terroir.

Taking advantage of the vineyard's diversity, they replanted some forgotten grape varieties, resulting in unique blends like their "Seven Varieties Blend," which has been hailed as a representation of the new generation of retro-style Champagne. The wines are of exceptional quality, and the estate's reputation has been further enhanced by the distinct and captivating labels designed by Aurelien's wife, which add a touch of storytelling to each bottle. Laherte Frères is gradually emerging as a rising star in the Champagne region.
