Matsu

The Matsu winery features the portraits of three generations of local winemakers from the Toro region on its labels, symbolizing the passing down of knowledge and paying homage to the great artists of this land. The winery utilizes vineyards with "over a hundred-year-old vines" for their production, employing entirely manual harvesting. The wine is then aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels and bottled without filtration.

The wine presents a deep cherry red color, and its complex and expansive aroma unfolds like a crashing wave. The ripe and pure blackberry aromas dominate, harmonizing elegantly with the maturation notes from the oak barrels. Notes of dark chocolate, coffee beans, roasted spices, and intense fragrances come together. The wine possesses a thick and velvety body, a smooth and rounded texture, and a lingering and memorable finish that invites multiple sips.

This wine embodies a sense of depth and composure derived from century-old vines. It has experienced the passage of time, drawing inspiration from the centuries-old terroir of Spain's Toro region, and conveys a wine story brimming with wisdom.
