Montevertine

The Montevertine estate is located in the heart of Radda, at an elevation of 425 meters in the Chianti region of Italy. In 1967, the owner, Sergio Manetti, who was originally involved in the steel industry, purchased a small vineyard for vacation purposes. He planted 2 hectares of grapevines and built a small cellar. The first wine was produced in 1971.

Sergio Manetti presented his wines at a wine exhibition, where they received enthusiastic praise from consumers. Due to increasing sales, Manetti eventually decided to transition fully into winemaking, investing all his resources in the craft. The flagship wine of Montevertine was selected by the Italian Presidential Palace to be served at state banquets for various heads of state, a testament to the quality and prestige of the winery.
