Montevetrano

The Montevetrano winery was created by a group of friends with a passion for wine and a desire to experiment. In 1983, Silvia Imparato inherited a small family estate and began experimenting with winemaking alongside her friends and the winemaker Riccardo Cotarella. After several years of hard work, they released their first wine, which was a revelation and gained recognition among wine enthusiasts. It even caught the attention of Robert Parker, who, after trying it, said, "the Sassicaia of the south was born". The Montevetrano estate covers 26 hectares, with 5 hectares dedicated to grape cultivation. The main grape varieties grown are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Aglianico. The winery benefits from unique volcanic soil, which produces stunning wines. The flagship wine of the estate is "Montevetrano", which has won the prestigious Gambero Rosso "3 Glasses" award for 14 consecutive years, showcasing its exceptional quality.
