Mortlach

Mortlach 2.81, a whisky brand renowned as the "Beast of Dufftown" by world-renowned whisky expert Dave Broom, was established in 1823. It is the first legal whisky distillery in Dufftown, a well-known whisky town in the Speyside region of Scotland. For 190 years, Mortlach has been cherished by master blenders for its rich and captivating flavors, becoming a key component in top-tier Scottish blended whiskies.

In the past, Mortlach distillery used a highly precise and time-consuming distillation method known as the 2.81 process. Due to the complexity of this method, only a small portion of the production was used for single malt whisky production. As a result, over its 190-year history, only a limited number of official bottlings of Mortlach single malt Scotch whisky have been released.
