Muga

Bodegas Muga is located in the Rioja wine region of Spain and is one of the renowned wineries in the area. It is also one of the first wineries in the Rioja region to open its doors to the public and has been operated and managed by the Muga family. Muga Winery has its own cooperage, making it the only winery in Spain with a master cooper and three coopers in its cellar.

The vineyards of the winery are situated in the Rioja Alta subregion, benefiting from unique terroir conditions. They have excellent geographical positioning, favorable orientation, and are influenced by the Mediterranean, Atlantic, and continental climates. The soils in the vineyards are primarily composed of limestone-rich clay. The longer ripening period of the grapes in this area allows for the development of more complex aromatic compounds, resulting in richer and more intense flavors.
