Murray McDavid

Murray McDavid was founded in 1994 by London wine merchants Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin, and Gordon Wright of Springbank Distillery. In 2000, the Murray McDavid team embarked on the ambitious project of reopening the closed Bruichladdich Distillery, bringing on board Islay's legendary master distiller Jim McEwan. Over the years, the company underwent significant changes, including being acquired by Remy Cointreau, and is now owned by the esteemed Scottish whisky brokerage, Aceo Ltd. Currently headquartered at Coleburn Distillery in Speyside, Murray McDavid has grown into one of Scotland's leading independent whisky bottlers. The distillery's philosophy focuses on the art of maturation, utilizing a variety of interesting casks to age their whiskies. Their offerings often feature older vintages at surprisingly accessible prices.
