The château has risen to prominence in recent years and is located in the Pauillac appellation, within the prestigious Bordeaux wine region, adjacent to the first-growth château, Château Mouton Rothschild.Since 1994, Pontet-Canet has experienced a remarkable leap in quality, consistently delivering exceptional performances in multiple vintages. From 2003 onwards, seven vintages have received ratings of 95 points or above from Robert Parker. Additionally, the 2006, 2007, and 2008 vintages were included in Wine Spectator's annual "Top 100 Wines" list. Furthermore, the 2009 and 2010 vintages were honored with a perfect 100-point score by Robert Parker, placing Pontet-Canet among an elite group of Bordeaux estates that have achieved such outstanding recognition.
