Powell & Son

Powell & Son is one of the most iconic wineries in Australia, and Dave Powell is a renowned figure in the Australian wine industry. He was formerly involved with and was one of the founders of the famous Australian winery Torbreck. However, in 2003, due to internal changes at Torbreck, he lost his influence within the winery. Determined to make a comeback, he decided to establish Powell & Son, this time with his own son.

The majority of Powell & Son's wines come from the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley in Australia, with a focus on old vineyards. Renowned wine critic Robert Parker once said that Dave Powell may be the most intriguing winemaker in the wine industry. He is known for his passion for tobacco, his colorful language, and his straightforward personality. However, there is no doubt that he is a world-class winemaker and highly respected in his field.
