Quilceda Creek

Quilceda Creek is located in the not-so-common wine region of Snowomish, Washington in the United States. It was founded by Alex Golitzin and Jeannette Golitzin in 1979. Within four years of its establishment, the estate won the top prize at a wine competition organized by the Enological Society of the Northwest. Their son, Paul Golitzin, became interested in winemaking and joined the estate's winemaking and management team. Over the years, they have acquired multiple vineyards, and their outstanding winemaking skills and high-quality grapes have made them stand out among other estates. Their Cabernet Sauvignon has received high praise from Robert Parker, receiving a perfect score of 100 points in consecutive years in the Wine Advocate, a feat achieved by only a few wineries. Robert Parker has also said, "No producer in Washington State has done more to demonstrate the potential of Cabernet Sauvignon than Quilceda Creek." In 2006, their wine ranked second in Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the Year.
