Ramonet

In Burgundy, Beaune is renowned for its white wines, with the most famous being Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. These two areas each have their own characteristics and are hailed as the twin stars of Burgundy. Puligny village is home to the world-renowned white wine expert Domaine Leflaive, while Chassagne village is notably represented by Domaine Ramonet. Both top winemakers have consistently high quality and receive exceptional praise. Ramonet's wines, whether from the general area or specific vineyards, are exceptionally brilliant.

By Burgundian standards, Ramonet is not a winery with a long history; it has only been passed down through three generations from its founding. Pierre Ramonet established the estate in the late 1920s and shortly after, his son Andre took over management. Today, Andre's two sons Jean-Claude and Noel are in charge. Sometimes the wines are labeled with Noel Romonet or simply Romonet, without distinction. Noel Romonet is a rather unique individual, perhaps perceived as eccentric and self-assured. Despite this, with the seamless collaboration between the brothers, today's Ramonet not only maintains the good reputation passed down from their grandfather but also ventures into a top-tier style that surpasses the expectations of even the most discerning wine connoisseurs.
