R. Lopez de Heredia

R. Lopez de Heredia Winery, with a century-long history, was established in the Rioja region of Spain in 1913-1914. It is one of the oldest three wineries in the area, and it is currently operated by the fourth-generation descendants of the family. The winery is known for its long oak aging and unique terroir-driven single vineyard wines. Its most prestigious vineyard is the 100-hectare Vina Tondonia. The white wines produced by this winery are only made in exceptional vintages and undergo 6 years of aging in small oak barrels. Its winemaking method is extremely rare worldwide, and the wines produced are considered treasures. It's no wonder that renowned wine writer Neal Martin was moved to tears after tasting the Vina Tondonia Blanco Gran Reserva.
