Robert Keenan

As early as 1974, Robert Keenan saw the potential of Napa Valley and determined that it was a region capable of producing world-class wines. He purchased the 180-acre Spring Mountain vineyard, which has low-vigor soil that is perfect for growing high-quality grapes. The vines are planted on steep hills, allowing for concentrated and full-bodied grapes. The winery and vineyard purchased by Robert Keenan was the first winery on Spring Mountain, called "Peter Conradi Winery." Due to Prohibition, the winery had been abandoned, so Keenan rebuilt it, cleaned it up, and replanted the vines. In 1998, Michael Keenan took over and transformed the winery into a green estate, not only focusing on improving the grape quality but also installing a solar power system to meet the winery's energy needs. As a result, the back label proudly states that it is a solar-powered and sustainable winery. Currently, the winery mainly grows Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, and blends different grape varieties in different seasons.
