Rockburn

Rockburn was established in 1991 in New Zealand's Central Otago region. The name "Rockburn" is derived from the rugged and rocky landscape of Otago. The owner, Dick, had a strong passion for wine and decided to establish his own 3-hectare vineyard near Arrowtown, Lake Hayes. Today, the vineyard has expanded to 33 hectares and has become a well-known winery in New Zealand. The winery's reputation is primarily due to its high-quality wines, which are recognized for their ability to truly reflect the terroir of the vineyards.
In 2005, a former assistant winemaker from "Felton Road" joined Rockburn, further contributing to the winery's success. With increased production, the winery now produces around 14,000 cases per year. Situated on the slopes of the tropical rainforest mountains and facing the sea, the winery enjoys breathtakingly beautiful scenery. The climate is similar to that of Burgundy, making it ideal for growing Pinot Noir. Rockburn Pinot Noir, in particular, has achieved a gold medal at the New Zealand Wine Society Royal Easter Wine Show, a prestigious wine exhibition.
