Scions of Sinai

Scions of Sinai is a winery located in Lower Helderberg in Stellenbosch, managed by Bernhard Bredell. The Bredell family has a history of over 160 years in this region, with 7 generations passing down the name "Scions" since Peter Bredell arrived in the 1850s. The vineyards at this estate grow Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Cinsaut, Pinotage, and Syrah grapes, which are then blended to create wines such as Señor Tallos, a blend of Chenin Blanc and Grenache Blanc. The winery prides itself on using no chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides, and no additives are added to their wines. In 2019, Bernhard was named "Young Winemaker of the Year" just two years after beginning his winemaking journey in 2017. He is a talented and promising young winemaker.
