Sebastien Riffault

Sebastien Riffault winery originally started as a grain farming operation. However, in the 1980s, Sebastien, who was only 20 years old at the time and had a passion for wine, decided to transition into grape cultivation. He embarked on a year-long journey, traveling and learning about wine in various European countries. Eventually, Sebastien became captivated by natural wines, which led him back to France to further study and rework his own vineyards.

In 2004, Sebastien officially took over the vineyard and transformed it into an organic and biodynamic estate. The results were remarkable and made his father extremely proud. Sebastien diligently cares for the vines, some of which are 50 years old, ensuring that each bottle of wine exudes quality. The wines are bottled without clarification or filtration, contributing to their textured character. One of the distinctive features of the winery is the inclusion of grapes affected by "Botrytis," which significantly enhances the complexity and mouthfeel of the wines.
