Under the care of owner Dan Standish, Standish wines have achieved near-perfect scores of RP99 for both the Relic Shiraz Viognier 2004 and The Standish Shiraz 2003, making it a sought-after elite winery. Standish Wines boasts a wealth of winemaking experience, having studied winemaking and worked as a winemaker in renowned wine regions worldwide, including Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast in the United States, Rioja in Spain, and the Rhone Valley in France. In 1999, Dan returned to his homeland of Australia to begin winemaking, focusing on creating a range of wines through strict fruit selection. Only the top 20% of grapes are chosen for production.

Robert Parker believes that Standish Winery has the potential to become a benchmark winery in the Barossa Valley, and his ratings and applause for its performance have always been generous and consistent.
