The Arran

The distillery of Arran is located on one of Scotland's most beautiful and renowned islands, the Isle of Arran. Its exceptional geographical location provides pure water sourced from granite purification and peat filtration. The combination of sea breezes, the serene mountain air, and the warming Gulf Stream contributes to the creation of perfect Arran single malt whisky. Interestingly, despite being an island distillery, Arran whiskies do not have the characteristic peaty flavor commonly associated with such distilleries.

As a relatively young distillery, Arran does not yet possess older expressions with high age statements. Therefore, they have focused on experimenting with various innovative cask finishes, which have garnered them numerous awards in international competitions. One notable feature of Arran whiskies is that they are non-chill filtered. This is a technique increasingly embraced by independent distilleries, as they believe it helps preserve the whisky's unique characteristics and natural essence.
