Trapet Pere et Fils

The winery was officially established in 1995 by the current owner, Jean Louis, who completed his winemaking degree at the University of Dijon. After studying in Bordeaux, Champagne, and some special grape regions in California, he returned to take over the winery with his wife.

Under Jean Louis' leadership, the winery adopted biodynamic practices the following year, completely eliminating the use of all chemical products. Through green harvesting and low-density planting, grape maturity and quality were greatly enhanced. Continuously receiving various certifications, the winery has become a pioneer in organic farming and biodynamic practices in Burgundy. Before fermentation, there are two manual selections, and relying on native yeast, long fermentation periods, and a low percentage of new barrels, they are able to craft refined, elegant, and full-bodied wines.

The Trapet family acquired a large plot of Chambertin Grand Cru in the early 20th century, making them the largest landowner of Chambertin Grand Cru before dividing their estate. They currently own 1.9 hectares, second only to the Chambertin wine king Armand Rousseau. Their Chambertin Grand Cru has received the highest three-star rating from the prestigious wine publication "Les Meilleurs Vins de France," showcasing their undeniable expertise and quality that cannot be overlooked.
