Valentin Zusslin

Zusslin winery adopts biodynamic practices for grape cultivation and winemaking. It is also a member of the "La Renaissance des Terroirs" association, founded by Nicolas Joly, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture and a renowned natural winemaking expert. The association aims to promote biodynamic practices. Zusslin has been recognized as one of the top ten global natural and biodynamic wineries by British wine critic Tom Stevenson.

The biodynamic wines produced by Zusslin have a high aging potential of 15 to 20 years. The yields are low, with an annual production of only 90,000 bottles for regular vineyards and a mere 3,000 bottles for the premier vineyards. Zusslin follows the principles of biodynamic viticulture, showing respect for both nature and the land. They carefully tend to the vineyards and their ecosystems, resulting in exquisite and delicate Alsace wines.
