Maruishi Shuzo's "Nitotemari" brand is located in Aichi Prefecture, which is the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the "Shogun" during the feudal era. Established in 1690, Maruishi Shuzo is a sake brewery with a history spanning 300 years. Despite enduring the challenges of World War II, the brewery persevered and was handed down to three generations of sake craftsmen. The younger generation returned to their hometown to continue the family business, constantly challenging the trends of Japanese sake and creating the innovative and high-quality brand "Nitotemari," which combines aesthetics and craftsmanship.

A popular Japanese saying suggests that trying to catch two rabbits at once often results in catching neither. However, Mr. Fukada, the president of the brewery, believes that with determination, one can indeed catch both rabbits. In the case of Nitotemari, the two rabbits represent "aroma" and "mouthfeel," and the brewery strives to excel in both aspects. The release of Nitotemari caused a sensation and quickly became a well-known brand in Aichi Prefecture. It has received the prestigious gold award six times in the past decade at the Japan New Sake Appraisal and has consistently achieved excellent rankings in SAKETIME.
