Kato Yoshihei Shoten is located in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. It is now a long-established store that has been passed down to the 11th generation. It is the first brewery in Japan to commercialize Daiginjo. The brewing business was founded in the first year of Wanyan (1860), and the name "Jiping" has been passed down from generation to generation. It is now the 11th generation of the old shop. Before and after World War II, it was widely known as the "Koshi Noi" brand, and the highest-grade liquor of "Koshi Noi" was named "Ban". Starting from Showa 38 (1963), all brands in Tibet were unified as "Ban". In Showa 43 (1968), it became the first sake brewery in Japan to commercialize Daiginjo.

The sake brewery was transformed from the late Taisho era to the early Showa era, and won the Hokuriku Sake Appraisal Gold Medal for four consecutive years. In the third year of the Showa era (1928), it was appointed at the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Showa. It was the first time that sake was used by the imperial family. Later, it was successively used in ceremonies hosted by the government.
