"Tanmo" is a light gray color in traditional Japanese color palette and is also the name of a thousand-year-old silver-gray cherry blossom tree in Japan. In traditional Chinese landscape painting, "Tanmo" refers to a technique of diluting thick ink with clear water to create a sense of tranquility and simplicity.

The team behind "Under the White Orchid Tree" named their coffee liqueur "Tanmo" to express the emotions that have settled in Hong Kong over the past two years. "Tanmo" uses the "Under the White Orchid Tree" felt liqueur as the base, capturing its unique aroma that evokes memories of Hong Kong. The coffee beans used in the first batch of "Tanmo" were personally selected by Gary Au, the founder of Urban Coffee Roaster. They are Ethiopian coffee beans roasted 100% in Hong Kong. The "Under the White Orchid Tree" team then employs their proprietary double cold infusion method to fully preserve the floral and fruity aromas of the coffee beans.
