Giuseppe Quintarelli, the legendary master of the Veneto region in northern Italy, has left an indelible mark despite his passing in 2012 at the age of 84. He is forever honored with the title "Master of Veneto" for his immense contributions. The Quintarelli family has been involved in winemaking for over a century. In 1924, Giuseppe Quintarelli's father acquired another vineyard in the Valpolicella region, setting the stage for Giuseppe's immortal legacy. "Everything I have done is following what my father taught me," he once said.

The winery upholds an unwavering commitment to exceptional quality, selecting only the best grapes. As a result, their annual production is very limited, with only 4,500 cases per year. Each grape cluster is meticulously cared for, hand-picked, and laid to dry in wooden boxes for an extended period of five months. After fermentation, the wines are aged in large oak barrels. Quintarelli was a traditionalist, following his father's techniques. He insisted on aging his Amarone wines for seven years, while Amarone Riserva would not be released until after a decade. Even then, the wines were not immediately put up for sale. Quintarelli personally tasted and approved each batch, ensuring they had reached their optimal drinking stage before they were released.
