Château d'Aiguilhe is a Bordeaux wine estate created through a collaboration between the renowned right bank estate Château Canon la Gaffelière and the famous winemaker Stephan Derenoncourt. The estate is located on a hillside between the Côtes de Castillon and Saint-Émilion regions, overlooking the right bank of the Dordogne River. The origins of the estate date back to the 13th century, making it one of the oldest and most historic properties in the Bordeaux region.The estate covers 110 hectares, with 50 hectares dedicated to vineyards. All the vineyards are situated on the higher slopes, facing south, which provides advantageous natural drainage and ample sunlight. The soil conditions and vine age average around 30 years, creating favorable conditions for grape cultivation. The soil is mineral-rich, lending finesse to the wines while combining with their powerful structure.
