Antinori Tignanello

Tignanello is indeed one of the iconic names in Italian wine and is considered the first wine to be labeled as a "Super Tuscan." Antinori, the producer of Tignanello, used 20% of French grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which resulted in the wine being classified as the lowest category of Italian wine, Vino da Tavola. However, due to its high quality and premium price, it was clear that Tignanello was not an ordinary table wine. As a result, it was given the title of Super Tuscan to highlight its exceptional nature.Tignanello has become a regular feature in Wine Spectator's Top 100 lists and is revered as one of the most influential wines in the history of Italian winemaking. In 2015, when the Italian Prime Minister met with President Obama in the United States, Tignanello was presented as the most representative Italian wine, showcasing its significance.
