Artadi

Artadi was founded by Juan Carlos Lopez de Lacalle in 1985. He is a visionary and highly skilled individual who, under his management and with his exceptional winemaking techniques, has produced some of the highest quality wines in the heart of Spain. He introduced innovative concepts and departed from traditional practices.

Artadi implements malolactic fermentation and utilizes French oak barrels. Instead of classifying wines based on the age of the grapevines, they categorize them based on aging: Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva. This breaks away from the traditional winemaking methods in Rioja. In addition, they practice organic farming, respecting nature and abstaining from fertilizers and artificial compounds. They cherish the ecosystem, creating a unique style that is characterized by abundant fruit aromas, smooth and delicate tannins, and a refined and balanced profile that captivates the senses.
