Cavallotto

Since 1928, the Cavallotto family has owned the Tenuta Bricco Boschis winery. In 1946, they became the first winery in Castiglione Falletto to vinify all their own grape harvests. Two years later, in 1948, they officially released their first Barolo wine, bottled by the winery and labeled with the Cavallotto brand and trademark. Today, the winery is run by the fourth-generation descendants, Giuseppe and Alfio. They carry on the philosophy of their parents, Olivio and Laura, and continue to vinify all their own grape harvests.

The winery currently produces eleven wines of DOC and DOCG classification, including Barolo, Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, and Langhe Nebbiolo. Cavallotto's Barolo wines come from two vineyards: Bricco Boschis, which produces Barolo Bricco Boschis and Barolo Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe, and Vignolo, which produces Barolo Riserva Vignolo.
