David Duband

David Duband is a rising star winemaker in Burgundy, regarded by renowned Burgundy critic Allen Meadows as the heir apparent to Leroy winemaking. Since 1991, even during his student years, David has been the winemaker for the estate. His wines are known for their purity, balance, structure, and concentration of fruit aromas.
Starting from 2004, David made a significant shift towards organic farming practices. He also adjusted his winemaking style, using fewer new oak barrels and opting for more whole cluster fermentation whenever possible. These changes were aimed at creating elegant wines with a distinctive style.
David Duband's wines have gained recognition for their finesse and expression of terroir. His meticulous approach to viticulture and winemaking has contributed to the success and reputation of the Domaine. As a result, David Duband has emerged as a highly respected winemaker in Burgundy, and his wines are sought after by enthusiasts who appreciate the elegance and purity of his style.
