Established in 1268, Domaine Yvon Clerget is one of the most storied estates in Burgundy, boasting a lineage of 28 generations. Located in the heart of Volnay, the domaine experienced a dramatic renaissance in 2015 when the young and talented Thibaud Clerget took the helm after a five-year hiatus where the fruit was sold to top negociants.

Thibaud has rapidly elevated the estate to "rising star" status, blending ancient heritage with a modern, precise winemaking philosophy. Managing just 6 hectares of prime parcels—including the prized monopole 1er Cru Clos du Verseuil—his approach emphasizes minimal intervention and gentle extraction. By favoring 100% de-stemming and moderate new oak, he produces wines celebrated for their purity, elegance, and "velvet-like" tannins.

The Clerget style is defined by its remarkable energy and transparency, capturing the distinct chalky minerality of Volnay and the structural depth of Pommard. Today, these wines are highly sought after by collectors as benchmarks of the Côte de Beaune, representing a perfect harmony between historical depth and contemporary brilliance.
