Hamilton Russell Estate is located in Hemel-en-Aarde, South Africa, which is situated in the southernmost part of the country and is in close proximity to the seaside. It is nestled within an old fishing village, offering picturesque and serene surroundings with a cool climate.

In 1975, Tim Hamilton-Russell purchased 170 hectares of undeveloped land and slowly began planting vineyards. In 1991, his son Anthony Hamilton-Russell took over the estate and made the decision to exclusively focus on cultivating Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. The estate evolved from vineyards to a full-fledged winery, conducting extensive research and collaborating with a dedicated team to craft wines that truly express the terroir.

Hamilton Russell Estate quickly gained recognition and popularity upon its release to the market. The wines became highly sought after, with demand often surpassing supply. The estate has since become a shining star in the South African wine scene, receiving acclaim and admiration from wine enthusiasts who eagerly seek out their offerings.
