Founded by Hubert de Montille, who originally practiced law, the estate inherited vineyards in Volnay in 1951. Over the years, they have consistently crafted captivating red wines. Particularly impressive is Montille's ability to produce wines of finesse and quality comparable to the top vineyards in Côte de Nuits using premier cru vineyards in Côte de Beaune.💎

In the documentary film "Mondovino," the world of wine, Hubert de Montille was specially interviewed, highlighting his commitment and philosophy in preserving traditional winemaking. He employs the technique of fermenting whole clusters of grapes, which not only enhances the flavor and imparts floral aromas to the wine but also results in complex and captivating tannins. This approach requires exceptional technical skill, and only a handful of top wineries in Burgundy, such as DRC, Leroy, and Dujac, adopt this method.
