The Sakurao distillery is known for producing a range of spirits, including gin and whisky, with a focus on utilizing local ingredients and traditional Japanese craftsmanship.The Sakurao distillery was established in 2017 with the goal of creating high-quality spirits that reflect the unique characteristics of the Hiroshima region. The distillery takes pride in sourcing locally grown botanicals and grains, as well as using traditional production methods to craft their spirits.Sakurao offers a variety of products, including Sakurao Gin, which is made using a blend of 9 botanicals, including juniper berries, coriander seeds, and locally sourced Hiroshima botanicals such as green tea, citrus, and cherry blossoms. The gin is known for its balanced and refreshing flavors, capturing the essence of the Hiroshima region.In addition to gin, Sakurao also produces whisky. While the distillery is relatively young, they have been aging their whisky in a variety of casks to develop their own unique style.
