Virgen del Galir is located in the small village of Orense Éntoma in Spain. The winery joined the CVNE group, a renowned Spanish wine company, in 2018. The winery is classified under the "Valdeorras" designation of origin (DO) and has 40 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of up to 700 meters and feature local granite and slate soils. The winery team is young, energetic, and highly knowledgeable about the local terroir. The winemaking is primarily led by Miguel Tienda and Jorge Navascues, focusing on indigenous grape varieties. In this case, you can try their white grape varieties, "Godello" and "Mencia," which showcase the authentic expression of the local terroir. The winery also produces a range of premium wines, including Classified Villa Wines and Gran Cru wines. For now, let's start by tasting one of their entry-level wines.
