Note: 50+ year old vines located in the lower section of the Clos. Here a more restrained nose somewhat grudgingly offers up an array of pretty red berry scents that are trimmed in notes of earth, wood and a suggestion of smoked game. The delicious and vibrant larger-bodied flavors are both more powerful and more concentration though they don't have the refinement or sophistication of the Reignots on the beautifully long and more complex finale where the only nit is a touch of warmth. At last moderate patience strongly advised.*Burghound Sweet Spot!*

Wine Spectator 95
A supple, elegant red, this features cherry, blackberry, sandalwood, mineral and spice aromas and flavors. Though it starts on the gentle side, this gains momentum and intensity, with a strong and persistent aftertaste. It's tannins are beautifully integrated and supportive. Best from 2029 through 2047.
