Vilafonte

Vilafonte Estate is located in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and is the first winery dedicated to the luxury and investment markets, making it one of the top boutique wineries in South Africa. In fact, Vilafonte Estate was founded through a collaboration between Zelma Long, the former chief winemaker of Robert Mondavi Winery (founder of Opus One), and South African wine experts. The aim was to showcase South African wines just as California wines, once underestimated, emerged as a force to be reckoned with, making it the first winery to unite South Africa and the United States in a partnership. The wines from Vilafonte Estate have been highly praised by wine critics. The editors of "Decanter" have given high acclaim to Vilafonte wines, stating, "This is the best of the top South African wines I have tasted so far: powerful and majestic yet elegant and enchanting." Their flagship wine, the M Series, has been recognized as one of the "Top 100 World's Finest Wines" by Wine Enthusiast. In the 2007 Judgment of Harrisburg wine competition, a showdown between California ， and South African wines, Vilafonte's wines stood out impressively.
