From fruit cultivated in a part of Hengst limestone that was affected by the drought, the 2023 Riesling Le Kottabe opens with a fine and discreet yet already impressively complex nose of ripe and dense fruit intermingled with elegant and distinctive earthy notes. Soft and round on the palate, this is a medium-bodied, well balanced and stimulating saline as well as crunchy Riesling with ripe, lush and well-concentrated fruit and citrus fruit zests on the stimulating, serious and structured finish that represents the dry vintage that forced them to press with high pressure to get any juice and structure from the grapes. 12.5% stated alcohol. Diam 5 cork. Tasted at the domaine in November 2024.
