Sadie Family 位於南非Swartland Mountain Areas，由 Eben Sadie 所打造，他走遍大江南北開始在德國、澳洲、美國奧勒岡州、加州、西班牙、法國，以及南非累積了豐富工作的經驗，了解不同採收時期，將近30個年份的採收與釀造經驗，最後才決定落腳南非。當中因素是他也看中了南非土壤多樣性，採用法國無灌溉式的葡萄園管理方式，全手工採收。並且降低小橡木桶的使用比例，更幾乎不使用新桶。多數透過水泥槽與大型舊橡木桶。他提到自身釀造理念:「常用泡茶當作譬喻，萃取的時間必須恰到好處，過長過短都只將減損風味；同時他也提到：如果想表現風土，應該做的就是簡化釀造，重視葡萄園的工作」。現今Eben Sadie是南非最受敬重的釀造者。除了在2010年與2015年曾兩度獲得南非最具影響力的酒評媒體《Platter‘s Wine Guide》選為年度風雲釀酒師，更在2017年獲得權威組織Master of Wine選為「Winemaker Award」(每年MW們只會選出一位對於葡萄酒世界最具貢獻的代表人物，例如2014年的代表人物為Anne-Claude Leflaive ；2015年為Egon Müller) 他本身喜好自由的個性，酒莊創立初期原本只打算生產一紅一白的兩款葡萄酒，好保留一些時間可以盡情地做他最喜愛的衝浪運動。這兩款酒也成為酒莊最知名的Signature系列，分別是白酒「Palladius」與紅酒「Columella」，透過多品重的混合，充分表現南非Swartland子產雄偉瑰麗的風土特色，因此酒體格局相當驚人。後續與荖藤專家Rosa Kruger的合作中，激發出另一個老藤系列。以當地許多荒廢的葡萄園為主角，每款以單一葡萄園的荖藤所釀造，重新讓世人認識這塊土地的風土優勢。年產量僅3,800箱，相當稀少珍貴。Sadie Family的最大貢獻便是把南非葡萄酒的水準，提升到國際膜拜酒的標準。結構完整，風味層次豐富精彩，可謂是南非的Domaine Jean-Louis Chave。

The Sadie Family 2024 Swartland Die Distriksreeks Pofadder is beautifully poised, showing sweet red fruit, nervous energy and finely framed tannins that underscore Cinsault’s reputation for approachable elegance. The wine balances fruit sweetness, firm structure and aging potential, built around depth rather than sheer weight. Sourced from iron-rich slate formations near Riebeeksrivier, this site gives the wine its distinctive tension and longevity. This is a beauty.
