In the heart of the Loire Valley, where the Atlantic’s breath meets the continental chill, lies Clos Naudin—the definitive soul of Vouvray. Since 1923, the Foreau family has stood as the unwavering guardians of Chenin Blanc, translating this versatile grape into liquid poetry. Whether as a bone-dry Sec, a luscious Moelleux, or a fine-beaded sparkling wine, their creations are celebrated for a crystalline purity that few can replicate.

The estate’s character is forged in the silence of its tuffeau limestone cellars. Hand-carved by founder Armand Foreau over a century ago, these subterranean vaults offer a damp, 12℃ sanctuary where time seemingly slows down. Here, the wine rests in seasoned oak barrels, some decades old, allowing the terroir to speak without the interference of new wood or malolactic fermentation.

Every bottle is a testament to patience and honesty. Through organic farming and meticulous multi-pass harvests (tries), Philippe and Vincent Foreau capture the essence of each vintage exactly as nature intended. There is no forcing of style here; there is only the rhythmic pulse of the seasons. The result is a wine of razor-sharp precision and immense longevity—a true benchmark that remains, above all, an authentic reflection of the earth.
