這間位於意大利著名Piedmont釀酒區的Vietti酒莊，相信喜歡意大利酒的人士一定認識它。其最一大特點就是酒瓶上的藝術酒標，靈感來源要追溯至1970年的一個晚上，釀酒師Alfredo和他的妻子及其他藝術家朋友相聚一齊品酒。他們突發奇想，認為好酒應該配上他們的藝術，於是酒莊開始將這個概念結合在其酒標上。目前酒莊由其兒子Luca負責，他年僅25歲便接下酒莊的事業，更曾在五大酒莊Chateau Mouton和美國頂尖酒莊Opus One學習釀酒。使Vietti晉身成為Piedmont區頂級的葡萄酒生產者之一，酒莊更是最早從單一葡萄園挑選葡萄進行釀酒的先驅。

This bottle marks the end of an era, and all you Barolo Castiglione fans out there are in for some very bad news. The name "Castiglione" is being taking off the bottle, and what we have instead is the Vietti 2021 Barolo. In truth, the name "Castiglione" does appear in very small, small letters at the bottom of the label for old time's sake, but during my discussion during this tasting, I agreed to remove it from the wine's official name in our database. I'm told it will definitely be gone by the next release. Apparently, the estate was on the wrong end of a copyright issue, so it had to go. Winemaking has not changed, and the wine remains a blend of 20-plus MGA sites. There is no particular set formula. The parcels are fermented separately and a final blending decision is made further down the road. You still get the same phenomenal value. This wine offers firm structure, plummy dark fruit flavors and elegantly chalky tannins. The finish is a little dry, and that ending gives the wine a near-term personality. This is an ample 70,000-bottle release.
